Air Freight Forwarder

As an Air Freight Forwarder, you are responsible for the full operational and administrative handling of air freight shipments. You'll arrange transport bookings, process shipment data, and maintain contact with customers, carriers, and airlines.

Description

• Full handling of forwarding files

• Timely and correct booking of transport with subcontractors

• Processing shipments in our in-house software system

• Checking and managing shipment documentation

• Auditing financial documents

• Identifying and solving issues proactively

• Handling disputes independently or together with your team leader

• Communication with customers, carriers, and airlines

Functie-eisen:

We are looking for someone who can work independently, but also enjoys being part of a team. Whether you're a starter or already have experience in air freight-we're looking for drive and a proactive mindset.

You are:

• MBO+ or HBO level (vocational/college level)

• Experienced in freight forwarding (preferred, but not required)

• In possession of, or willing to obtain, an air freight employee certificate

• Knowledgeable of Dangerous Goods regulations (a plus)

• Skilled in Microsoft Office

• Fluent in Dutch and/or English (spoken and written)

• Customer-focused, accurate, and solution-oriented

• Able to perform under pressure and meet deadlines

• A gross monthly salary up to €3,200 (based on 40 hours)

• A workplace at Schiphol, accessible by public transport or car

• A varied role within an international logistics network
