Accountant (m/f/d)

Your Role

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Accountant (m/f/d) to take full ownership of our accounting functions at PVY. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on finance professional to manage all aspects of accounting, from accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) to VAT declarations and Dutch tax obligations. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining financial integrity, driving compliance, and supporting the continued growth of our business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Ensure full compliance with Dutch GAAP and all relevant Dutch financial regulations.
• Prepare and submit VAT declarations, as well as other Dutch tax filings.
• Maintain the general ledger, handle reconciliations, and manage month-end closing activities.
• Monitor cash flow, manage outstanding invoices, and foster strong relationships with suppliers and clients.
• Collaborate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities when required.
• Continuously assess and optimize accounting processes, implementing financial best practices.
• Provide the management team with accurate financial reports and in-depth data analysis to support decision-making.

Key Requirements:

• Fluent in both Dutch and English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• In-depth knowledge of Dutch GAAP and Dutch financial regulations.
• Proven experience in managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and tax filings.
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
• Extensive experience in Dutch VAT and corporate tax compliance.
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., Exact, Twinfield, or similar).
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and improve financial processes.
• Exceptional attention to detail, analytical thinking, and strong problem-solving skills.
