Junior Area Sales Manager (fulltime)
As a Junior Area Sales Manager, in the first 1,5 - 2 years of your employment you will be learning from the best. You will spend a lot of time with our Area Sales Managers, mainly in Europe to learn about: Solynta, true hybrid potato seed, different sales strategies, our products, the targeted markets and much more. So in the first period is all about learning the ropes.
After these first years, you will be ready to take ownership of sales and business development within a specific region, ensuring the successful establishment and scaling of our innovative hybrid potato technology. Since Solynta is growing rapidly, it is still to be decided what region that will be. This also depends on your preferences, ambitions, knowledge and skills.
Within two years, the aim is that you will grow into an Area Sales manager. This will involve identifying and developing strong partnerships, driving market penetration, and executing sales and go to market strategies tailored to a specific region. This position requires significant time spent in target markets to ensure market expertise and close customer relations, as well as working together in our global sales and product management team.
This position reports to the Sales Lead and is a role within our global commercial team. We are seeking a proactive, keen and team-oriented colleague.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Support the Area Sales Manager in identifying and maintaining partnerships within the region
- Assist in spotting sales opportunities and generating regional demand for Solynta's solutions
- Contribute to the execution of regional sales activities and help in achieving commercial targets
- Gather and report customer feedback and market insights to support strategic decisions
- Work closely with the commercial team to learn best practices and support coordination across regions
- Participate in regional events, customer meetings, and other activities to promote Solynta's innovative solutions and build commercial experience
Requirements:
- Affinity with or interest in international agricultural industries such as seeds, crop protection, or related sectors (prior experience is a plus, but not required)
- Home-based in the Netherlands
- Bachelor's degree in International Business, Business & Agriculture or similar
- Eagerness to build and maintain (new) client relationships with a proactive and hands-on attitude
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with people from different cultural backgrounds
- Willingness to learn how to identify and respond to customer needs effectively
- A practical and solution-oriented mindset, with the ability to support multiple tasks or projects
- Fluent in English (spoken and written); additional language skills are an advantage
- Willing to travel within the region and occasionally internationally as part of your development
