The role sits within the SBM offshore product development group focusing on :

- Development and implementation of offshore oil and gas standardized hull, topside modules and onboard systems for Floating Production and Offloading (FPSO) units.

- Development and implementation of low CO2 emission systems on board FPSOs such as combined cycle systems and carbon capture technologies etc

- Transitioning offshore onboard systems from technology development to project execution.

Role purpose

• Lead the development of new products up to readiness for being implemented on a project, i.e. product developed can be proposed part of prospect (technical framing or/and bid stage) and executed.
• May be assigned to more than one project depending on stage of development, the size and complexity of the Project.

Role Responsibilities

The Product Development lead has the overall responsibility to:

• Define the development plan together with internal stakeholder for general resources and services and technology
• Lead the assigned product development team in line with the plan
• Define and maintain the project organization, responsibilities, and accountabilities
• Ensure the team has the balance of skills and expertise required to deliver the Project.
• Manage communication and reporting across all internal Project members.
• Foster teamwork and cooperation within the Project and with stakeholders

Education

• University degree in a relevant engineering discipline such as process and chemical, mechanical, electrical or offshore engineering.

Experience

• 10 years' experience in oil and gas offshore industry including a relevant experience as Engineering Project Manager
• Good technical knowledge of the company's products
• Construction, Operation, Installation, Supply Chain experiences would be a plus
