Monthly · 4 to 8 hours Mentorschap Haag en RijnImagine that you are unable to stand up for your own healthcare interests due to illness or a disability (dementia, intellectual disability, psychiatric illness). Someone who independently expresses your wishes and opinions well. You help make decisions in healthcare and welfare. And who visits you regularly to get to know you well? She finds it difficult to make her own decisions in healthcare and welfare. That is why she is very happy with her mentor Renske. As a mentor, Renske is Ilse's legal representative and confidant. She visits her regularly and then they take a walk or play a game. She also helps her make choices such as whether or not to have a vaccination or surgery. Renske also ensures that agreements made are fulfilled through consultation with Ilse's healthcare providers. For Ilse, mentorship means maintaining her own control. Renske finds mentorship an enrichment of her life. Renske is one of the 370 volunteer mentors of the Haag en Rijn Mentorship Foundation. Our Foundation offers mentorship to adults with an intellectual or psychiatric disability, dementia or acquired brain injury. Mentorship is a legal protective measure imposed by the court. The Foundation trains and guides you in your role as a mentor. Besides Ilse, there are many more people looking for a mentor, so become a mentor too!
The Zoetermeer Form Brigade Foundation provides practical help, advice and information in the socio-legal field to all residents of Zoetermeer. During the walk-in consultation hours on working days from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., a team of consultants is ready to help the citizen. We are looking for a new consultant for at least two mornings a week. If you are socially and digitally skilled and if you have an affinity with the social security system, taxes, allowances, etc., we would like to get to know you.
Once or weekly · 2 to 4 hours UVV ZoetermeerWe are looking for several drivers (volunteers) to transport elderly people with dementia with a passenger van from home to the meeting center Buytenthuis van Vierstroom and v.v. As a volunteer driver you don't do this alone because you are accompanied on the rides by a professional supervisor from Vierstroom. The rides take place on Monday to Friday between 9.15 am and 10 am and 3.30 pm and 4.15 pm. You work together in a pool of drivers UVV Zoetermeer has more than 20 years of experience in 'Accompanied Transport'. On an annual basis, to the great satisfaction of both customers (mainly frail elderly) and more than 35 drivers/volunteers, we provide about 3000 trips to a doctor, physiotherapist, family or wherever. As a volunteer for this new service, you must be flexible and have an affinity with the people you will be transporting. You are not older than 75 years and a valid driver's license is of course a requirement. We do organize a nice get-together a few times a year and there is a little something at Christmas.

For example like this: Situation: Mr. Lee, a 68-year-old widower, has always managed his finances independently. However, due to a combination of health problems and the loss of his wife, he has lost control of his administration. Bills are piling up, and he is in danger of getting into financial trouble. First visit: As a volunteer, you meet Mr. Lee at his home, organize the mail together and set up a clear administration. Support with financial planning: You help the gentleman draw up a budget plan and teach him how to keep track of his income and expenses in Excel, for example. Coaching towards self-reliance: You coach him towards independence by gradually giving him more responsibility. Recording and evaluation: After each visit, you record a report in the Humanitas Registration System to keep track of progress. Result: Thanks to your efforts, Mr. Lee has his finances under control again and feels more confident. This example shows how you as a volunteer can make a real difference in the lives of people like Mr. Lee

We are looking for volunteers who want to do the shopping once a week What does the shopping service do? We want to help vulnerable elderly people in a number of different ways with getting their daily groceries: 1. A volunteer walks with the customer (possibly with a stick, walker, wheelchair or mobility scooter) to the store. The volunteer is NOT allowed to use a debit card or advance money. If necessary, we can make an appointment with the store owner for an invoice and direct debit authorization. Payment is made via a payment method of the customer. Depending on the store chosen, there may be costs involved. We are looking for people who are willing to sacrifice an hour of their free time once or twice a week to help an elderly person. Once or weekly · 2 to 4 hours Teamwerk ZorgWe are a care location with clients with disabilities. In order to give the clients a meaningful day, we have 4 day care locations. How nice would it be if you would like to contribute to making this possible for them and for us. It would involve making 1 to 5 trips within Zoetermeer and Pijnacker every day, preferably between 8:30 and 9:00 and returning home around 16:00. Also 1 trip 3 days a week from Hazerswoude-Dorp to Zoetermeer and back. This time is from 8:45-9:15 and then back to Hazerswoude at 16:00. We cook for people who are sick or have no money or both, they can't pick up the meals. Someone who brings them, and maybe has a chat would be great. We will request a VOG for you at our expense. As a thank you, we can also cook a meal for you, so that you don't have to cook that day yourself. On Monday between 13 and 14 and Thursday the same time. If you only want to do 1 or part of it, that is also possible. It is important that you really come, otherwise the people will not have food
For On Stage, a career party for high school students, we will give a group of 8 young people a cooking lesson 3 times to introduce them to the profession of chef. Extra eyes to make sure everything goes well and they can ask their questions are welcome. Do you think it would be fun to introduce these children to a cool profession?
