About the job

As a contractor at APK Energy and Water, you will be responsible for the realisation of projects from start to completion. With the right materials and a motivated team, you will ensure that a challenging project is delivered on time and within budget. You are the liaison between the team and the client and have a feel for what is needed in ever-changing situations. At APK we make no concessions and safety is our number one priority, and you know how to convey this to your team. With your high sense of responsibility, you ensure a safe working environment so that your team can work safely and return home safely at the end of the day. A versatile job, but thanks to your hard work, you create a successful team and motivate your colleagues to jointly deliver quality and meet targets.

Some of your duties include:

• You are responsible for making sure your yard works like a well-oiled machine.
• You manage both your own employees and subcontractors in the works and provide them with the necessary materials.
• You oversee the overall safety of your people and the environment.
• You go through the site's plans well in advance so that as little goes wrong in this as possible.
• You will prepare progress reports and order necessary materials for your site.

Your profile

• You have completed a technical mbo or hbo education (e.g. mechanical or civil engineering)
• As a connector, you are able to coach, manage and encourage your team in a goal-oriented way.
• Your sense of responsibility places high demands on your work. You are proactive, maintain an overview and can quickly switch and prioritise in unexpected situations.
• You communicate easily and derive satisfaction from interacting with different stakeholders, both clients and within the different parts of the APK organisation
