Job description
As a QA Engineer within our Software Development team, you have the opportunity to trial the newest and most innovative radar technology! It will be your job to ensure our code is just as powerful as our hardware, guaranteeing software that performs flawlessly every time.
You'll be part of the Test Tools Team within the R&D Software Team, and work closely with other R&D teams. We all are responsible for guaranteeing the quality of the products. You'll report to the Head of R&D Software, who is there to support and guide you.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain automated test scripts for software applications, ensuring maximum test coverage and efficiency;
Evaluate the test results and communicate potential problems and solutions;
Execute automated tests and analyze results to identify defects, troubleshoot issues, and ensure the overall quality of our products;
Backend testing, Integration testing (system test), API testing;
Work closely with developers to integrate automated testing;
Contribute to the improvement of testing processes, tools, and methodologies;
Stay current with industry trends and best practices in test automation;
You're responsible for the clear registration of reports and outcomes;
You're responsible for the maintenance and expansion of our test suite.
Job requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
You have a minimum of three years of experience in software testing;
Proven experience in test automation using industry-standard tools and frameworks (e.g., Robot Framework, Selenium, TestNG);
Strong programming skills in languages Python, Java or C++;
It's a plus if you have experience with robot framework, Git, or Jira;
At least 1 year experience working with Linux command line;
Experience with testing embedded systems is a plus;
Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies;
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills;
Experience with Agile/SCRUM ;
You are patient and work in a structured way;
Strong communication and collaboration skills in English. Dutch is a plus;
You live in The Netherlands, within commuting distance from The Hague.
