Functieomschrijving:

The role involves overseeing air freight logistics, including managing shipments and communicating with clients about delivery-related matters. Additionally, it entails building customer relationships, negotiating pricing, generating quotes, handling invoicing, and managing administrative tasks to ensure smooth operations.

Description

• Organising, managing, and processing air freight shipments.
• Establishing and nurturing relationships with current and potential internal clients, as well as liaising with overseas branches and partners regarding transportation.
• Communicating with customers regarding shipments, shortages, delays, and damages.
• Creating and communicating pricing structures and negotiating rates with customers for spontaneous shipments.
• Generating quotes and ensuring their follow-up.
• Handling invoicing for shipments and monitoring associated costs.
• Managing administrative tasks such as processing and forwarding documents and information to other departments, agents, and branches.

Functie-eisen:

• Minimum MBO level of education with practical working and thinking skills.
• Previous experience as an (assistant) forwarder specialising in air freight.
• Strong communication and commercial abilities.
• Problem-solving mindset and perseverance.
• Flexibility with working hours.
• Proficient in spoken and written English; Dutch proficiency is advantageous.
