What will be your role

You will have the opportunity to work on a project for a Dutch client who is a leading provider of equipment services, offering end-to-end lifecycle solutions for trailers, tankers, and various equipment types in the transportation and logistics sectors.

In this role, you will join a newly established and dynamic team that blends corporate and startup expertise, focused on digitizing and electrifying logistics fleets and workshops across Europe. As a Senior OutSystems Developer, you will play a key role in the design, development, and implementation of scalable applications, ensuring high performance and maintainability within the OutSystems low-code platform. You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, UX designers, and other developers to deliver robust digital solutions.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Architecting and developing scalable, high-quality applications using the OutSystems platform, following best practices and performance guidelines.
• Leading the development lifecycle, from requirement gathering and solution design to implementation and deployment.
• Integrating third-party systems via REST APIs, SOAP, and other integration methods to ensure seamless communication between platforms.
• Optimizing application performance by identifying bottlenecks and implementing best practices for scalability and maintainability.
• Ensuring code quality through code reviews, unit testing, and adherence to development standards.
• Mentoring junior developers, sharing knowledge on OutSystems best practices, architecture, and coding techniques.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, UX designers, and QA engineers, to align solutions with business needs.
• Maintaining and improving existing applications, identifying areas for enhancement and implementing necessary upgrades.

With operations in over 10 countries, this client offers innovative and sustainable services to optimize the management of transport vehicles.

What should you bring to the team

• 5+ years of experience in OutSystems development, including architecture, performance optimization, and integration with external systems.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Deep understanding of the OutSystems platform, including best practices for scalable and maintainable applications. Knowledge of ODC is a plus.
• Experience with REST APIs, SOAP, and third-party integrations to ensure seamless system interoperability.
• Proficiency in SQL and data modeling, with knowledge of Python being advantageous.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and optimize applications.
• Experience in Agile environments, with a results-driven mindset and a focus on delivering high-impact solutions.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Portuguese and English (mandatory).
• Experience mentoring junior developers and promoting best practices in software development
• Available for relocation to the Netherlands
