Target:

The purpose of the position is to design carbon masts, booms, rigging and accessories and to actively supervise the design in the production stage.

Tasks and responsibilities:

1. careful preparation of one's own work;
2. translating the customer order into detailed working drawings (including specifications and part list) according to procedures, work instructions and manuals, as well as taking care of revisions;
3. advise on technical possibilities, calculations and changes;
4. correct work preparation and information provision for the internal customer;
5. good communication with other departments regarding projects;
6. compliance with quality, safety, working conditions and environmental regulations (including identifying and reporting unsafe situations to the Engineering Manager, correct use of the necessary personal protective equipment)
7. reporting errors and deviations to the Engineering Manager;
8. actively participate in (work) consultations;
9. keeping up-to-date with technical expertise and developments within the field.

Knowledge/skills/education.

1. higher level training in Engineering, Maritime technology or likewise
2. excellent technical insight
3. good knowledge of Office applications
4. thorough knowledge of Autocad and Solidworks
5. good command of the English language in speech and writing and preferably Dutch
6. team player, accurate, flexible, innovative
7. Sailing experience desired

In onze productiehallen wordt gewerkt aan de mooiste carbon masten en tuigages voor zeiljachten. Wedstrijdjachten maar ook grote toerzeiljachten. Alles wordt bij Hall Spars in Breskens ontworpen, gemaakt en uiteindelijk over heel de wereld geleverd en geplaatst. Een bijzonder proces in een kleine niche markt. De perfecte kwaliteit masten wordt mede bepaald door het hoogwaardig schuur- en plamuurwerk dat wordt toegepast. Ben je een ervaren en wil je eens in een heel andere industrie werken of heb je twee rechter handen en wil je het graag leren, dan ben je welkom bij Hall BV in Breskens. Heb je ervaring als spuiter, bijvoorbeeld in de auto- of vliegtuig industrie, dan heten we je graag welkom in onze 50 meter lange spuitcabines.

Dit doe je door middel van meten, boren, slijpen, frezen, zagen, lijmen en lamineren volgens aangeleverde tekeningen en werk instructies.

Het werk is zeer gevarieerd en omvat verschillende bewerkingen met handgereedschap of machines.

Als Mastenmaker ben je vooral handig met gereedschap, heb je technisch inzicht en werk je zeer nauwkeurig. Je hebt oog voor detail en bent leergierig.

Als nieuwe collega word je stap voor stap intern opgeleid om met het hele team tot een mooi eindproduct te komen.

As Mastfitter you work on carbon masts for luxury racing and cruising yachts. Your work consists of pre-mounting / fitting all parts on and in the mast

You do this by measuring, drilling, grinding, milling, sawing, glueing and laminating according to supplied drawings and work instructions. The work is diverse and includes using various hand tools and machines.

As Mastbuilder you are especially handy with tools, you have technical insight and are very accurate. You have an eye for detail and are eager to learn.

New colleagues will be trained internally step by step to realise a beautiful end product with the entire team.
