What will you do?
As a Sales Engineer , you will support our Business Development team in identifying new opportunities, developing proposals, and providing technical expertise to customers. Your responsibilities include:
Sales & Proposal Development
Translate client requirements into technical and commercial proposals
Identify competitive advantages to enhance our offering
Prepare budget estimates and project timelines for proposals
Develop key technical documentation such as risk analyses, specifications, and qualification plans
Attend customer meetings and support contract negotiations
Collaboration & Process Optimization
Work closely with internal teams (Engineering, Production, and Quality) to ensure accurate proposals
Assist in the implementation and optimization of ERP systems
Support Business Development Managers in contract finalization
Market & Client Development
Maintain and expand our CRM system (Salesforce)
Support strategic business unit planning and market analysis
Assist in organizing trade shows, webinars, and marketing activities
You will report to the Business Development Manager and work alongside a team of experts passionate about innovation in composites and aerospace technology .
Job requirements
To succeed in this role, you have a strong technical background , combined with a proactive and commercial mindset . You bring:
Education & Background: You have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (e.g., Aerospace, Mechanical, or related field).
Technical & Commercial Mindset: You have a strong technical foundation , but you're also commercially driven, eager to translate complex challenges into customer solutions .
Communication & Relationship Building: You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills , allowing you to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal teams.
Analytical & Detail-Oriented: You work accurately, analyze customer needs thoroughly, and ensure high-quality proposals that meet technical and business requirements.
Proactive & Hands-On Approach: You take ownership, work independently , and are always looking for ways to improve processes and outcomes.
Languages: Fluency in English is required. Dutch is a plus.
Bonus Points: Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce) , knowledge of the aerospace or composites industry , and a willingness to travel occasionally .
