Software and hardware , safety, Atex , cabling, instrumentation: sales engineers work with all disciplines. That makes the work a lot of fun. We also work in a very friendly team."

Your working day

What will the new sales engineer's workday be like?

"The work day starts between 8:00 and 8:30. First, coffee. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed, but there is also hard work. Much of the work is in the office although customers are also visited. That is important; in any case to see things, but also to talk things through. Between 4:30 and 5 p.m. the working day is over. Tomorrow is another day and it will always be different from the last."

"On someone who has a real affinity for technology, who is a go-getter, customer-friendly and extroverted. Who likes to work independently but also in a team. As a sales engineer you will never be alone, especially with very large projects. He or she must have knowledge of process, electrical engineering and industrial automation. A real techie who likes to work in a nice and cozy team on great projects," Calmer concludes.
