In Adevinta we manage the controlling and accounting of approximately 30 holding companies out of Amsterdam. These holding companies contain mostly investments, intercompany cross charges and loans. In 2 entities there are also payroll activities.

The monthly & annual accounting of these companies is outsourced to either an external accounting firm or to our shared service center in India. Also the preparation of compliance documents such as financial statements and tax returns is outsourced.

Your role is to manage these outsourced partners as well as engage in key activities & signoffs relating to these entities.

You will be reporting into the Director of Consolidation in Barcelona, with a dotted line to the CFO in the Netherlands. Your Amsterdam team will consist of 1 colleague responsible for the group monthend close as well as 1 Contingent worker and 1 senior controller based in India.

The team will work closely together with the Consolidation team & Treasury in Barcelona, with the local controllers of Marktplaats BV and with the Amsterdam legal and HR teams. You will also cooperate with the Adevinta global process owners and Shared Services in Romania and India.

Your responsibilities will be to support in:

• Delivery of monthly, quarterly and yearly financial closings by working closely with all internal and external Financial Controllers and Analysts

  • Onestream and SAP S4 HANA reporting

  • Intercompany Revenue & costs controlling & accounting

  • Trial Balance review and flux analysis

  • Controlling and posting of Allocations and cross charges

  • Project accounting

  • Local statutory reporting and audits

• Liaise & report to local authorities on local required reporting and submissions.

Who you are

• You have earned a bachelor or master's degree in the areas of Controlling or Finance & Accounting.

• Knowledge of IFRS & Dutch GAAP

• Minimum 5 years of experience in an accounting and/or controlling role, preferably in an international global environment

• Strong analytical (excel) skills and an affinity with numbers

• Strong interpersonal skills

• Able to work & prioritize independently in an international matrix organization

• Extended experience in working with accounting software (SAP S4 HANA preferred);

• Fluent in English, ability to speak Dutch is a bonus.

• The role will be based in Amsterdam, with limited travel to Barcelona
