Enterprise Risk Management Control Officer (Fixed-term, 12 months)

As an Enterprise Risk Management Control officer, you are responsible for the execution of testing activities, that are retrieved from the DLL Group Risk Control Framework for our DLL Vendor Finance Europe organisation. Furthermore, you are responsible for the monitoring of control execution and follow up test deficiencies. Simultaneously, you will identify and implement process efficiencies related to the control execution and processes involved. Your work contributes to sustain a sound risk culture with a customer focus which should result in a high quality, effective and efficient risk control framework that safeguards that all processes managed within the Region Europe are within DLL's risk appetite and policies.

Day to day:

  • Execute control testing activities retrieved from the DLL Group Control Framework for the Region Europe organisation.
  • Safeguard progress and quality of control execution.
  • Identify and implement (control) process optimisations.
  • Assist and challenge the process owner with regard to control execution.
  • Discuss control deficiencies with control owners and assist in deficiency remediation.
  • Monitor status of control remediation actions and verify quality of control remediation actions.
  • Periodically report results to Team lead RCF and CoE.
  • Secure that all test documentation is audit proof.
  • Advise pro-actively on possible bottlenecks with regard to control effectiveness.

Essentials:

  • A Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics or related field.
  • Interest and experience in risk control framework and risk culture / awareness.
  • Analytical and quickly able to get to the root cause of an issue.
  • Excellent communication skills throughout all levels of the organization.
  • Able to well organize and plan all required activities.
  • Decisiveness and persuasiveness.
  • Empathic and good at building relationships.
  • Fluent in English.

Extras:

  • Specific experience in equipment leasing and vendor finance or banking.
  • Audit experience.
  • Experience of successfully implementing process changes in a multi-national organization.
  • Ability to take responsibility and be proactive on new matters and projects.
